Playa De Las Catedrales, the more or less literal translation is Beach Of The Cathedrals, and with the stunning rock formations – arches, towers and caves, its little wonder how it got its name. The beach is in Galicia on the northern coast just above Portugal. There really aren’t any of the bigger cities of Spain anywhere near by, so this is one of those real off the beaten path trips, but well worth it – its not going to be nearly as crowded as the beaches on the Med, the surrounding landscape and area all around is absolutely beautiful and can rightly be called the “real Spain”, at least for nature lovers and those who are a little more adventurous.
